After an extensive three-month search, POP is proud to announce Katherine Powers as our new Executive Director. Katherine is no stranger to POP- she first sang with POP as Fiordiligi in our third production, Cosi fan tutte (2012), and has performed with us several times since. She already knows our brand, our culture, and our mission inside and out!

This operatic soprano is equally as fierce “behind the scenes”- after serving for seven years as founding Director of Vocal Arts at California School of the Arts San Gabriel Valley where she oversaw all conservatory operations including strategic planning, curriculum design, oversight of faculty and staff, event production, and fiscal management while forging community partnerships throughout LA. In Josh Shaw’s own words, “Katherine is one of the few people I know who can just get things done, whatever the circumstance.”

We can’t wait to see what POP’s next chapter of growth looks like with Katherine on our team! Help us welcome her by leaving a comment below…

OR if you’d prefer to give her a personal welcome, come say hi at #POPaganza! She’ll be there for her first official appearance as Exec Director. Most seats are already gone! Info/tix at pacificoperaproject.com/popaganza
